Dovly Review: Can an AI Credit Repair App Raise Your Score?

Dovly is a credit repair and credit-building app that uses AI to review your credit report, find items that may be hurting your score, and file disputes for you. It has a free plan, which makes it one of the easiest ways to try credit repair without paying a traditional credit repair company.
How Dovly works
- Sign up with a soft pull. Dovly checks your credit without a hard inquiry, so signing up doesn’t lower your score.
- AI reviews your TransUnion report. It looks for negative items and errors that may be disputable.
- Disputes are filed with TransUnion. On the free plan you use a manual dispute tool. On Premium, the AI handles unlimited disputes for you.
- You track results in the app, along with personalized steps to raise your score.
Free vs. Premium
Free ($0):
- Monthly TransUnion credit report and score
- Manual dispute tool with TransUnion
- Limited data breach alerts
Premium (about $39.99 a month, or less when billed annually):
- Weekly TransUnion report and score
- Unlimited AI-powered disputes with TransUnion
- A $2,000 credit-builder tradeline, plus rent and bill reporting
- TransUnion credit lock, data breach alerts and $1 million in identity theft insurance
Dovly says Premium members see an average 93-point score increase, and free members an average 38 points. Every credit file is different, and results aren’t guaranteed. Check Dovly’s site for current pricing.
Pros
- A real free plan, which traditional credit repair companies don’t offer
- No hard credit pull
- Premium combines disputes, credit building and ID protection in one app
- Much cheaper than most credit repair services
Cons
- TransUnion only. Errors on your Equifax and Experian reports need to be disputed separately.
- Can’t remove accurate negative information. No company legally can.
- Premium is a monthly subscription, so cancel once your disputes are resolved if you don’t need the extras.
Is Dovly worth it?
Dovly is a good fit if you have errors or outdated items on your TransUnion report and want a hands-off way to dispute them. Start with the free plan. Upgrade if you have several items to dispute or want the tradeline and ID protection.
If your problems are spread across all three bureaus, pair Dovly with direct disputes at Equifax and Experian (our credit report dispute guide shows how), or consider a full-service option from our list of the best credit repair options. For serious issues like identity theft or a creditor that won’t correct a clear error, see legal help for credit repair.
Keep an eye on all three reports
Because Dovly only covers TransUnion, a three-bureau monitoring service like SmartCredit helps you see changes on Equifax and Experian as well. If you’re also short on positive history, a credit builder like Self adds on-time payments to all three reports. See Self vs. Credit Strong for a comparison.
Planning to buy a home? Clean reports can mean a better rate. The Rate Update can review your credit before you apply.
